BYU and Back

 

Blaine Liljenquist was born in Indiana and raised in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, Virginia. He graduated from high school in 1961. After one year of study at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah [BYU], he left college to serve for thirty-months as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Holland and Belgium.

 

Lynda Johnson, his wife, was born and raised in Manti, Utah. She also served an eighteen-month mission for the Mormon Church in New Zealand. Returning to BYU in February 1965, Blaine studied economics and business management, graduating in 1968. Lynda continued her after-mission education at BYU graduating in 1970 with a degree in English.
